  1. Claim:Last month, an Alaskan court upheld a state law that requires that at least one parent be notified before a girl age 17 or younger gets an abortion.
Evidence: "If you are thinking about an abortion and live where there is a Parental Consent/Notification law, it's a good idea to call a clinic in your state ... and talk with someone about your options.
Reasoning: : Women and girls at any age who want an abortion will find a way to get one, whether the law says they can or not.

  3. Claim: Minors are able to still got through with abortions as long that parents are told.
Evidence:A parent can cry, yell or swear, but as long as a parent has been notified that an abortion is going to happen, providers can proceed without parental permission.

  5. The claim for this article is that at least one parent has to be notified before a child under the age of 18 can get an abortion.

The evidence for this is,"That at least one parent be notified before a girl age 17 or younger gets an abortion."

The reasoning for this evidence is that a parent HAS to be notified before that child can get an abortion.
